Although usually an ardent lover of graffiti and all the destruction and aggravation it brings with it, there are two forms, etching and scratchiti, that has always kind of sucked. They never look good. Letters never come out right, its mostly hard to read, and looks more like one of Warhol’s pissed on canvasses then it does graffiti. Unless that’s of course the look the vandal is going for.
Come hither and see the plague on the graffiti world.

When it comes to the trains, it especially sucks. When all that crap is etched or scratched you can’t see out the windows where all the real graffiti is, in the tunnels. Or if you’re above ground on the rooftops or bridges. So because of some shitty looking tags and scratches the public’s views gets obstructed and the cool graffiti can’t be seen. Sometimes looking out the window is the only salvation when it comes to riding the trains.

Also most of the stuff on the streets sucks too. Plus the fact that a lot of mom and pop style shops are hit makes it even worse. At least go smash some big corporate digs and at try to be ironic with your “fight the power” messaging.
