With all the headlines the “Bong Hits 4 Jesus” incident created and the widespread attention it drew, it’s only right that a movie be made out of it. Paramount and MTV are partnering up to shoot the film about Joseph Frederick, the 18 year-old high school student who was suspended for 10 days and fought for his first amendment right to display a rather large “BONG HITS 4 JESUS” banner at a semi-school function. Ultimately the case made it all the way to the Supreme Court and fueled a national discussion about free speech, mainly, it’s not that free.
