For months it’s been being hyped. General Patreus’ public testimony about the state of the war in Iraq was being billed as the report that would help determine how the US will proceed in an increasingly unpopular war. With media coverage at full saturation and a packed “House,” it was prime time for the general. Just as he attempted to launch his salvo the mic died. He could not be heard. And it’s not like they were able to fix it 1-2-3, it took almost ten minutes to get it together. Not for nothing but they need to get some West Indian techs up in there. We’ve seen weed soaked Rastas get soundsystems back up and rolling in less time with spliffs in one hand, than it took for the the federal IT team in the Cannon Caucus Room with the whole world watching.
