In case you hadn’t heard, Jay Z saw a preview of the soon to be released movie, American Gangster, about rise of heroin kingpin Frank Lucas in Harlem during the 1970′s, and was so inspired that he decided to knock out a concept album titled and based on the movie. Somehow Hov even found time to even make this video for the highly addictive “Blue Magic” single featuring Pharrell Williams. American Gangster the movie drops on November 2nd—check the trailer—the album November 6th.
