In this clip, the rider takes a loop around a newish velodrome built in Doha, Qatar as part of the 2006 Asian Games. The 250m track was built by V-WorldWide, a premiere builder of smooth banked velodromes. And these dudes don’t fuck around, they completed the whole thing was in less than a 120 days. It’s marvel of engineering and worker productivity. Remarkably, this thing can even be disassembled and stored for future use. Too bad Bloomberg can’t throw one of these up where Basketball City was on the Hudson.
