Big Stupid Fake Pizza Built In Wheat Field
To promote its new whole wheat pizza, Papa John’s—enlisting the services of “earthworks” artist Stan Herd—just finished creating a six-acre crop pie in a wheat field 30 miles outside of Denver. According to the stupid press release, the pepperonis are red mulch, black olives are black mulch, green peppers are corn stalks, and harvested wheat=cheese. Said Papa John’s president Bill Van Epps about this big stupid wheat-wasting stunt: “The benefits of whole grains are many, and we hope this sends a positive message to kids heading back to school, people flying in to Denver for the DNC and health-conscious consumers everywhere.” Shut up, pizza face, and congrats: you’re now the umpteenth marketing visionary to put a big stupid ad in a field, including a porn Site’s 100,000 square ft. stripper outside Gatwick airport in England.
