Uganda Hates Women, Attempts To Ban Miniskirts
Similar to the misguided attempts in the U.S. to police people’s fashion choices, the Ugandan Minister of Ethics and Integrity, James Nsaba Buturo is trying to ban miniskirts. He claims they’re not only “indecent,” but they’re also dangerous to the pervy public, “You can cause an accident because some of our people are weak mentally.” In addition the miniskirts, tight trousers are also discouraged and Makerere University, in the country’s capital, imposed a dress code for its female students. Additionally, there’s also a new plan in the works to shame prostitutes by “publishing names of offenders in newspapers, on the Internet and on television.” Over in Italy a mayor recently tried to outlaw sex workers wearing skimpy outfits and that certainly didn’t go as planned, the women said they’ll protest by dressing like nuns instead. |BBC|
