30 Graphic Reasons To Vote Obama
It’s officially under a month till the presidential elections (t-minus 28 days) and just in time to help the swing voters that prefer visual arguments for which candidate they should support, is this handy new website: 30reasons.org. Launched on Sunday (October 5th), the site “enlisted 30 graphic designers to create a poster that represents a reason to vote for Obama.” Every day a new image will be published with a simple goal in mind: “Use design to build a logical, multi-faceted argument for Obama and make it easy to share each reason with another person.” In other words, don’t both burdening the less intelligent with facts and figures, jut point them to the insightful pretty pictures. All the posters can be downloaded or printed, giving this internet campaign both virtual and real world applications. Even graphic kingpin Milton Glaser got in on the action, although his poster design is a far cry from those good ‘ol ‘I Love NY’ days. Here’s a full listing of the artists involved and an easy way to sign up your red state friends—assuming you have any.
