Public space pranking art celebrity, Banksy, continues his legal bombardment of Manhattan. He hired Colossal Media to hand paint two more ads—in addition to these—to promote his newly opened installation: The Village Pet Store and Charcoal Grill. Taking a cue from Steve Powers, who was also once a relevant vandal (ESPO) and unveiled an exhibit using animatronics in Coney Island this summer, the notorious street stenciling provocateur’s new installation features mechanized creations too. The imitation pet store is populated with self-dipping chicken nuggets with legs, floating fish sticks, and slithering sausages, among other delightful factory farmed dioramas. The PETA heaven is situated at 89 Seventh Avenue and will be open to the public between 10am and 12am until October 31st—although it’s pretty much visible from the street during off hours too.
