The Manhattan Community Board 4 did the right think last night and “voted 8-2 in support of extending the protected bike lane on Eighth Avenue, now under construction below W. 14th Street, north to 23rd,” according to Streetsblog. Previously, the design wasn’t considered ‘gay enough’ for some board members, but that no longer appears to be a viable concern. The proposed bike path is similar in design to the Amsterdam-like version installed on Ninth Avenue. |Streetsblog|
