Anthony Pontius is exhibiting new works at 31GRAND Gallery this Thursday. The artist toys with anthropomorphic themes, delving into the “importance of the human connection to history and nature,” communicated nicely with “The Soothsayer’s Greatest Game Ever” (click image for larger). It features an old school arcade game that “grows beside a lake in a beatific landscape, the image then covered with a graffiti tag and splatters of paint.” For the more official art fag language explanation of the show, head over here, and to see the artist’s truly bizarre “St. Sebastian-like panda figure” painting, click continue.
