skateboard.jpgThis summer, “Deathbowl to Downtown – The Evolution of Skateboarding in New York City,” will hit area theaters with a national release set for fall. The film traces skateboarding’s roots from the 70’s on or as filmmakers describe it, “An entertaining, eye opening, thought provoking take on why the action on New York’s dirty, grimy, and hectic streets represents skateboarding to millions of skaters and non-skaters worldwide.” The very lovely Chloë Sevigny and the film is already stirring up some hate and spam in the comments on the movie’s website. |Gothamist|
