The yellow lines have been painted, the traffic lights are hanging in the right direction, and it looks like Flushing Avenue will start being a real street again. For reasons only known to the DOT, the main thoroughfare was totally torn up and decimated, leaving the patch of street in two directions only east of Bushwick Avenue and west of Williamsburg Street West. But rejoice, Flushing is about to be a continuous flow of noxious, loud, two way traffic anyday now. (Click image to enlarge)
