Ignoring chants of “kill him” at public rallies, erecting blatantly racist billboards, threatening violence on websites, and telemarketing creepy robocalls are just a few of the tools being used by a certain radical political group to manipulate local populations. But these underhanded tactics aren’t being employed by third world leftist freedom fighters, fundamentalist Muslims, or even the KKK, but by the GOP. And now there’s this mailer featuring an airplane in the background with the words “Terrorists Don’t Care Who They Hurt” on the cover, that tries to portray Obama as a international terrorist sympathizer, warning about the candidate’s willingness to attempt diplomacy with some of our enemies for a change—it’s certainly cheaper than war! But they write: “Islamic extremists want our laws changed, our culture destroyed and our families converted. We don’t. What is there to talk about?” Their increasingly primitive strategy is simple: link the words “terrorists” and “Barack Obama” by any means necessary.
