Anti-Flag’s A New Kind of Army turned soldiers raising the flag on Iwo Jima into mohawked punks. Smashing Pumpkins drowned the Statue of Liberty in a sea of blood. And The Coup bombed the World Trade Center before bin Laden. A week and a half ago, The Coup’s Boots Riley got busted for dropping the F-bomb on stage in Norfolk, Virginia. Freedom of speech, indeed.
