NYC Advertecture—big, ugly intrusive advertising on the sides of buildings—has gotten bigger, uglier and intrusiver (I know, not a word, should be) in recent years. Here with a split advert on the south side of Houston near West Broadway, the world’s largest airline attempts to blur the line between ad and architecture. Look lucky SoHoers, Delta temporarily turned your boring boxy building into a quirky, stylish brownstone just a “stone’s throw” from Big fucking Ben. Better watch it, your landlord might raise your rent! Wonder if any of these unpaid pawns have ever flown the carrier? Well at least now they can all tell their Moms they were in a Delta ad. Jump for a closeup view of the intrusion.
