Tonight, NYPD detectives from the 9th Precinct in the East Village, perp walked murderer James Gonzalez—dubbed the “Key Food Killer” after allegedly stabbing his girlfriend, Tina Negron to death, and wounding another inside the manager’s booth of a supermarket on Avenue A and East Fourth Street. He was on the run since late February, but was recently caught by Florida police after someone recognized him on America’s Most Wanted and extradited back to NYC. When a reporter in front of the precinct house asked him if he had anything to say about what happened, he angrily responded, “Yeah, go to Africa there’s 6000 people dying over there everyday, stupid!”
