Ad Creep Update: Mailboxes Etc.

NiagaraFalls.jpg
Ad Creep Update is a regular feature on ANIMAL documenting the spreading epidemic of advertising media placement into every nook and cranny of your daily life. Well, well: finally a creeping ad that actually improves the scenery. The Niagara USA Chamber apparently got the permission of the United States Postal Service to drape some boxes with falls stickers around New York state—including some here in NYC—a while back. It’s certainly a good use of the medium, physically. But, I’ve a got a nit to pick, because that’s what I do: What keeps this from being a great idea is that there’s zero connection between the advertiser and the USPS. Now, if this was an ad for some daredevil going over the falls IN a mailbox, well that would be brilliant. After the jump, view a public transportation Ad Creep via Switzerland by Harley-Davidson. Switzerland seems to be the worldwide HQ for Ad Creepiness.
