‘Inglourious Basterds’ Script Is Better Than Movie
It’s hard to believe that a Tarantino script like this can somehow turn into the crappy trailer above. The Inglourious Basterds screenplay looked like it had a lot of potential and the makings of a great movie. Well after viewing the trailer maybe not. You would think that Harvey Weinstein would have learned after the dismal failure that was Grindhouse, but it’s not entirely his fault, Brad Pitt’s ridiculously unconvincing Southern accent should certainly take a big chunk of the blame when this thing bombs.

Yea well things happen and next thing you know you wish the movie was more like the trailer you saw a few weeks ago.
I read the screenplay, it's awful. It's about as hackneyed as any B-movie around and is historically inaccurate to the extent of being comical. The entire premise strains credulity past the breaking point and in the opening scene you can tell Tarantino doesn't know anything about World War II as it's supposedly in 1941 and he mentions Reinhard Heydrich's death. Hitler wouldn't come to some two-bit movie theater in Paris especially not in summer 1944 when an invasion of occupied France is imminent. By that stage Hitler didn't get out much and was addicted to methamphetamine. It's an insanely stupid movie I wouldn't go see if it were a free preview.
