Neither of the paintings are particularly poignant or great, granted he can handle a brush better than I can, they both employ a very blatant and almost childish use of symbolism which is at best a mere attempt at a generic political inflammatory statement.

No great observation that isn't made daily by any layman can be found in these pieces, this artists offers a sort of second hand housewife insight with this modestly titled painting.

Then again I guess if someone is so easily swayed and capitulates to the opinions and will of ignorant people who do not get his "vision", it really speaks volumes more than any combination of words I could ever conjure up.

Wow, sure is artfag in here. Give the guy a break, if he wanted to change up his repertoire, that's his perogative. Maybe he realised late that the previous painting wasn't the image he wanted to give himself.

Man, chill the fuck out. It's all well and good to pontificate online, but I highly doubt you've ever been in the same position as this guy.

The first painting wasn't that good. That's the real reason the artist pulled it. He was trying to be edgy for the sake of being edgy, while ignoring the statement he was trying to make. The second painting is better, but still nothing to really talk about.

WEll for one I could give two fucks about Jesus or Christianity for that matter, Im just saying that this painting is a piece of crap because it is. There you have OBAMA and a bunch of people wearing 3D Glasses.. Yea, yea I get it Symbolism blah blah blah, Stop staring at this piece of shit piece and work on something a little more original. And As or you Lord JualTIMORE as a painter you should be ashamed of yourself for supporting such JUNK. This shouldnt even qualify as a Painting.

It's amazing how Christians are offended by a Jesus metaphor, but those same Christians weren't at all offended by the horrific torturing of human beings during the past decade by the American government. What hypocrisy! If Jesus was real, he'd be far more offended by how Americans treated their prisoners than by the Obama picture.

So glad he pulled the first one, it was awful, MILDLY offensive is an understatement. However it's unfortunate that this painting is underwhelming. Maybe he should start painting something other than Obama.

Personally I don't see why everyone is being so toxic against the artist.

Honestly, if you think this is a 'bad' painting you need your eye's checked. And as for 'not having balls'; what f**king right have you arm-chair critics got to put this man down for doing what he thinks is the fair thing to do. Because you went to a pretentious art-school were you made loads of (meaningless) 'statements' with your paint-brush buddies and now suddenly every piece of art made by anyone under 60 has to offend someone?
