Arrested last year for painting a whole car on British Transport, a German graffiti writer was scolded by the judge and only charged $2000. While it’s true that “this sentence sends out the clear message that vandalism and criminality on the rail network in Scotland will not be tolerated,” it seems remarkably light compared to New York where similar crimes regularly put people in prison. |Press and Journal|

Europeans appreciate good art when they see it.

It would save NYC so much money to either leave the graffiti on or cover our subway trains with advertisements. It's a shame the city administration is so anti-graffiti. Graffiti is so New York. It will never die.
