This is after filing bankruptcy about two years ago. Toyota overtook General Motors for the number one spot in 2009. Apparently Volkswagen is claiming that it, not General Motors, is the largest auto manufacturer, because it claims General Motors is improperly adding the profitability of its partners in China.
