The Difference Between Pandas and Elephants Is Black and White

After the highly publicized birth of a female baby panda at a zoo in Bangkok, the people there have all-but-forgotten Thailand’s national symbol, the elephant. In a seriously misguided effort to bring some attention to the “neglected giants,” they were painted to look like pandas and mercilessly paraded about. Shouldn’t it be the other way around? Or they could hire this guy, when he decorates an elephant it’s guaranteed to create a stir. |DailyMail|

Drug Defendants Can Confront Their Accusers, Chemists

On Thursday, the Supreme Court handed down an important decision that could effect thousands of drug cases. The 5-4 ruling “reversed the conviction of a Massachusetts man found guilty of selling cocaine” after questionable evidence was introduced and declared that scientists and drug lab technicians who prepare reports for trials, can be called to the witness stand and thoroughly cross examined. Justices were kind of all over the place and shockingly, Antonin Scalia was the major proponent of the expanded 6th Amendment protection. |SCOTUSblog|

Less than 24 hours after the King of Pop died, streetwear brand Neff is already marketing their “exclusive” Michael Jackson tribute t-shirt. The California based company writes, “after the tragedy with Michael Jackson, we created the ‘Long Live the King’ tee for all those lovers of MJ who wish to preserve the life of the King himself.” However it’s not clear how a $20 tee will “preserve” the expired pop star. It’s going to take a little more than that. Perhaps they meant memory.
