No one objectifies women for a good cause better than American Apparel. But don’t take my word for it, go look for yourselves. |StyleCrave|

What's wrong with objectifying women?
The problem with objectifying anyone is that you start to forget that they're human, or expect humans to be objects. Humans are too surprised when the people we've objectified can't live up to such glossy standards, and too often feel guilty for being hairy/curvy/large/small/otherwise when those standards are applied to us.
Sure… this is a fine example of using female beauty – and sexuality – to the company’s advantage. How is this different from the cover of harlequin romance books or male models on billboards, which depict men in a sexual manner in order to sell their products? Using sex to sell has been around for time immemorial, and the battle against it will never be won.
It's different because women are at risk for rape and violence which is committed most often by men. Seeing a sexualized image of a woman as an object can dehumanize her and she can be treated like a non-human, hence where the violence comes into play.
People do not rape because they are hungry for sex, or because they have seen an ad. It has more to do with power.
Males are more often victims of rape than females.
