the 10 foot in the corner is in response to 10 foots activities of dogging street art recently
it was either a hit up as a plea to not being taken out,
or a piss take, to which 10foot would have definately reacted
either way..it definately deserved to be taken out.
That 'piece' is self indulgent, whimsical, narcissistic and cliched, like all this other street art that's been so 'right-on' lately and consists of the same old tired cliches, gas masks, angel wings, little boys/girls, helicopters, policemen etc etc yawn.
It's chocolate box graffiti for urban nerds, or graffiti for people who can't write/ appreciate proper graff, which incidentally comes in all shapes and sizes and mutations and is capable of depth and meaning and can soar to great heights without resorting to this inane and uninspired insipid conformity.
It's about time something like this happened, it's been quietly brewing for ages, expect a proper backlash against all this hot air, one-liners and sentimentality when all the old writers from back in the day, who are sick to the back teeth of all this Banksy led drivel start coming back out to sort out some walls near you soon.
10 foot is merely a symptom of something far greater.

I took a walk around Shoreditch and Brick lane in East London.
last week and counted 2 burners from London King Fuel from the legendary crew Cold Crush Dukes, I haven't seen anything by him in years and his pieces are banging!!!also a massive wall by Prime from We Roc Hard, a little late 70's Bronx style burner by Envy from Criminal Damage, also fresh pieces by Diet, Don, two massive fresh burners by Elate, a Zombie piece,even one by style king Keen One from All World Experts (the transatlantic crew with NY legends Kel 1st and Mare 139 from Style Wars!!) rocking back to back with Fuel!!!!, all brand new street burners by old school train legends.
These people dont need to cross anyone out to make their point they just need to paint Go there, walk around, see for yourself.
If the reputations of those guys is anything to go by this may well be the start of what Blast was saying, I keep a close eye on things and haven't seen any of those names for years!!!
