American Culture Invades French Cultural Hub

Liquidated+McDonalds The Louvre. It’s one of the world’s most prized museums, boasting over 35,000 works of art, including of course the Mona Lisa. And the cultural shrine will soon house another familiar face: Ronald McDonald’s. The fast food chain and beacon of American consumerism has someone managed to infiltrate France’s venerable institution and will be setting up shop reports the Telegraph. How can a high brow museum justify such a low brow intrusion? Cultural variety:

The Louvre welcomes the fact that the entirety of visitors and customers, French or foreign, can enjoy such a rich and varied restaurant offer, whether in the museum area or gallery,” the museum said in a statement.
