Because these communities don&#039;t attend NY City public schools, they miss out on the vaccinations, leaving themselves vulnerable to MMR. If you got the basic MMR as a kid--go vaccinations! yeah!--you are fine.  Unless your parents were dumdum hippies.  And evaded the system. </description>
