Common Sense Ads Cause Controversy

10130_646013436892_16100474_37334975_3841139_n It was controversial when the Muslims did it, so it’s not all that surprising that the latest atheist ad campaign to bless the city with some much needed revenue would also raise some eyebrows. The ad poses a simple enough question, although the math might be off: “A Million New Yorkers Are Good Without God. Are You?” Only a million? The campaign was spearheaded by The Big Apple Coalition of Reason which bills itself as a “a collection of local organizations working together to increase awareness of secular-minded groups throughout New York City.” Of course this has been done before, just this past summer.
