Conservatives Whining About Liberal Bias on Sesame Street Again
Says female grouch on Sesame Street: “From now on, I am watching Pox News. Now there’s a trashy news show!” Says conservative blogger Stage Right in response: “I can’t even sit my kids in front of Sesame Street without having to worry about the Left attempting to undermine my authority.” The video is below…we report, you decide.
Surely conservatives will rally to boycott Sesame Street, just as they did when Cookie Monster began mixing in the occasional fruit and/or vegetable into his diet a couple of years ago.

Liberals/Socialists whine. Conservatives complain. The Sesame Street producers should know better than to say something like that about a media outlet.
Yes. Children who watch Sesame Street will definitely know what “Pox News” is referring to.

The way I look at it Fox gets enough flack from the white house. I love Fox News because it is the ONLY place I know I can get BOTH sides of the political story, where facts are checked and reported. That being said this fox news against the world is getting a tad ridiculous.
Conservatives will get all angry and agitated about anything these days. It won’t be long before they start issuing fatwas, just like those _other_ extremists.

Conservatives watch Fox & many other liberal leaning news stations but Liberals just watch the Liberal stations and then trash talk Fox even though they don’t know a thing about it. Fox is the only station in my opinion that is truly unbiased. They don’t hide the fact that many of the people on their lean to the right but their NEWS programs just report the news as it is. I think the confusion lies in that many Liberals don’t like the “opinion” shows on Fox and frankly I find Glen Beck a little hard to swallow sometime but those are OPINION shows NOT news broadcasts. Glen Beck and Sean Hannity aren’t newscasters any more then Opera and the annoying women on The View aren’t news casters.
OMG, people will find every bit of minutia to complain about and cry ‘conspiracy’! No wonder kids cannot be kids anymore! Their childishness has been replaced by that of their parents! Lets all build moats around our homes, home school the kids and watch them grow up to be socially retarded. Im quite certain if we just try to close our minds a bit more we can acheive third-world status before the end of this century! Hooray for fake issues!!!!
Get a grip people, children in the age group that watches Sesame Street are not going to get that reference. I guess next you are going to want to pull movies off the shelf that have references in them that the parents would understand and the children would not. Calm down folks, it is going to go right over the children’s head. There are so many more important issues out there, like healthcare and unemployment, they were just making a joke calm down. I am a Republican and I love Fox News and I thought it was funny, it was a JOKE relax.
Is it ok to tell racist or dirty jokes to kids because they won’t get it? No. Saying its ok because they won’t get it is a cop out. I mean this isn’t a Shrek movie in the theater that is rated PG for mild language and crude humor. This is Sesame Street. They should leave the politics out of it and try and have an entertaining educational Rated G show for all young impressionable children.
I think Sesame Street should stick to telling fun stories and teaching letters, numbers, colors and such to kids and leave the political humor to others.
Children’s shows have NO PLACE in telling kids what to think politically. That is a family matter. Personally, I hate Fox news and never liked Bill O’Reilly, but that’s MY business as an adult. If Sesame Street producers were conservative, I would not want them trying to mold my children’s minds to be conservative supporting. Liberal or conservative, Sesame Street and other children’s shows need to learn their place–and that is not to take the place of the parent.
