Thank you for posting this. You and I are kindred spirits, I believe. 'The Wire' is by far the greatest television program of ALL time, and there isn't even a close second as far as I'm concerned. I've turned numerous people on to this show, and tell them that they'll never look at America the same way again.

I followed you over here from Gawker (after following you there from CBITC), and LOVE your style and writing. I swear that I noticed the change in your 'tone' – and not necessarily for the better – over at Gawker. Considering that it seemed to me your style was getting neutered to begin with, it pissed me off to no end to read about how things went down over there.
