Her Secret? Photoshop.

Secret P&G Marketing Guy: We need to get our old lady deo Secret into the pits of more of today’s “hip”chicks. What’s hip with teen girls these days? Ad Agency Guy: Uh, piercings, vampires, skateboarding… P&G Guy: That’s it! That’s fucking fearless, fabulous and feminine (actual copy from the first line of Secret’s Wikipedia page)! But I don’t want one of those skrungy chicks who dresses like a boy in the ad. Ad Guy: No problemo. We’ll get some preppy private school model, dress her pretty, and do a time-lapsy shoot and just retouch the board to her feet. P&G Guy: Aces! Sushi? (scanned from People, click to enlarge)

She's skating in heels! That is so badass.

  2. Uncle J

Her dress is not flying up. That's damned unnatural.

I have her pro model deck. It's sick.

  5. Thanks for the video! Still a fake Photoshopped ad though, isn't it (high heels, my ass)?

  6. They must have known that it would be scanned and panned by blogs around the world. Maybe that was the strategy!

  7. Besides that the fact that her dress is not flying up (it would be, were it real), I don't think it's _that_ bad of an ad. :P

Why do ad people still use skateboarding to symbolize "cool"? It's so passe. They should depict a more hip extreme sport, like Russian Roulette.
