Jay-ZBlack Thought Unites Street Artists and Graffiti Writers

Months after it popped up in Bushwick, this Jay-Z Black Thought stencil by The Dude Company got an update. Some unknown person collaged the portrait in Poster Boy-style, trimming pieces of Mare 139’s recent graffiti-style Redbull ad to fit around his head. After all the fruity attacks, chainsaw massacres and anti-art fag diatribes, this might be the most respectful street art embellishment ever.

  1. Black THOUGHT

Um, yeah, except it's not Jay Z, it's Black Thought from the Roots.

I know – they all look alike though, right Will?

Thanks for the correction. How silly of me not to recognize an obscured stencil portrait of a Philly rapper when its painted on a New York skyline in Brooklyn.
