The third release of this artsy erotic rag sees some gun-toting, motorcycle-riding women posing for the camera. Along with their unedited photos shot by Stacey Mark and Jonathan Leder, the models describe how easy and enjoyable posing nude is, much like Emile Hirsch’s girlfriend, Brianna Domont, did before her bout of regret. Today marks the one week anniversary of the murder of Oreo, a sassy pit bull that was tossed off a building and survived only to be killed by the ASPCA after they physically rehabilitated her. They said it was the humane thing to do. Gone, but not forgotten. RIP Oreo!
Out of old windowpanes found in the trash, Navin June Norling builds see-through canvases, which he paints with contemporary imagery. Whitewashing his work, the local artist then buffs away the layers, selectively revealing another look at these pop culture pictures, from brand logos to cultural icons. Tonight, Norling reveals “White Wash,” an installation of this performance sculpture in Fort Greene’s Danny Simmons Corridor Gallery.

The mayor of a suburb outside of Sydney, Australia was told that she’s not allowed to personally clean graffiti off of light poles or post boxes or any of the “state and federal owned infrastructure” reports the Mosman Daily. Over the summer, Swoon’s Swimming Cities of Serenissima successfully crashed the Venice Biennale in what art critic Jerry Saltz calls “the most moving moment I had.” Hosted by Anonymous Gallery, a retrospective of this hand built boating expedition takes places at Collective Hardware tonight. Named after the Italian villagers bestowed on the project, “Pankabestia: Punk Beasts of the Swimming Cities of Serenissima” will feature massive wall drawings, trash barge installations, flotsam from the Adriatic Sea and other crew art.
