Andrew Hem Sets City on Fire
Artist Andrew Hem is opening a solo exhibition in the new year, showing off his stylized portraits of urban life. Drawing on his native Cambodia, years writing graffiti and life in LA, Hem’s paintings feature an illustrated cast of characters alternately exuding energy or indifference, as in this starry eyed track bike rider admiring a molotov cocktail blaze. Culver City’s LeBasse Projects will exhibit this piece and others at the January opening of “One Leads to Another.” |Arrested Motion|
