Judge Saldaña Forced to Reduce Unlawful Prison Sentence for Graffiti
As it turns out, a Texas judge’s fiery speech sentencing a teenager to eight years in prison for graffiti was all for show. District Court Judge Marisela Saldaña apparently didn’t understand that stacking sentences, which would have forced 18-year-old Sebastian Perez to serve four two-year prison terms consecutively, wasn’t allowed for this case. Yesterday, Judge Saldaña was forced to abide by the law and reduce Perez’s sentence to two years in prison and two years of community service, a still very sizable, serious punishment. |KIII-TV3|

she had no right to give them a longer sentence then they deserved. she should not bwe a judge if she does stuff like this. i think that 2 years for something as stupid as graffiti is enough.
I think Payment or repair of property, 2 years community service, and 2 probation would have been a better sentence. What do you think?
I think this judge has lost her freakin mind. She obviously was having a bad day and this young man was there for her to unleash her bitterness on. He definately should've been made to repair all the damages himself and recieved probation. But come on now, prison? I've seen people with drug distribution get probation and I believe that should be WAY more punishable! I live in Texas & this is RIDICULOUS!!

This judge needs to come work with me in beautiful Camden, NJ. . .we welcome graffitti. . .what a waste of salary. . .people who don't pay child support get less time. . .seems like this judge needs a reality check big time. . .it will happen, I always believe what goes around comes around – not saying the kid doesn't need to be punished but this is excessive

That kid deserved 8 yrs in prison. Maybe that'll not only teach him a lesson, but every other idiotic kid out there who thinks spray painting their lovely grafitti is cool. I'm sure it's not the first time he's done it, nor will it be the last. Kids these days are such spoiled brats and practically get away with everything without suffering the concequences. He s 18 years old, a kid who will have his life ruined by such a sentence.
Give him 30 days in county, 1 year probation and 2,000 hrs community service along with a $10,000 fine. That will teach him without turning him into a hardened criminal, costing the tax payers $140,000 in imprisoning him and will give the community a much needed hand in keeping it clean while doing his community service.
This Judge is an embarrassment and rogue judges who exploit the bench should be run out of town.

The judge thinks she is setting an example by making such a harsh punishment for the poor kid, it's clearly fueled by some underlying anger she has. she doesn't begin to think about what she is exactly laying out for the poor kid. his future is ruined and being inside for so long will most likely make him worse of a man than when he goes in.
she might feel that this is an example for future taggers to think twice before spraying. but everyone can see that this is a one off case and every other judge should know that a punishment such as this should never happen.

Saldana is invovled with human trafficking of my five month old infant grandchild. Saldana and Judge Tom Greenwell are unaware that you need to provide ID to give custody of a child and a reason to take it from its biological parents. Lawyers and Judges in Corpus Christi are under the impression that a man can establish paternity and gain custody of your newborn infant on a default order.

Why don't they try living in one of these prison and see what there doing to these people , there not making them better there getting them angry in there and making them worse then what they were before they sent them in there and there sending them to prison for dumb charges just so they can get more money in there pockets.
