Paying homage to Scanners and Black Flag’s “Police Story,” the Melbourne artist’s explosive portrait not only hyperbolizes vandals’ typical feelings for law enforcement, but also their feelings back, especially every time a new graffiti video gets released.

Next month, artist Hannes Bend is showing off a series of sugary sculptures, casting cavities of iconic form. The hard candy collection, featuring a crucifix, Durer’s “Praying Hands,” and a trophy buck, will be exhibited alongside a new series of abstract paintings by the Berlin-based artist. Sharing a playfulness with their medium, these works will be unveiled as Half Gallery opens Bend’s “Endlich,” his first solo show in the States.
