Poster Boy Sentenced to Community Service
Nearly a year after his arrest at a Soho art opening, Poster Boy has been sentenced to community service. The ad altering artist was given 210 hours of work yesterday in Brooklyn Supreme Court after pleading guilty to two counts of criminal mischief, a felony and misdemeanor, according to the Post.
Characterizing the sentence as “somewhat extreme,” his lawyer offered the impression “that the DA’s office took a very harsh view of this case,” which appeared to focus on one of the artist’s Youtube appearances creating the “Tough Biatch” piece above. Hopefully the city puts Poster Boy to work doing something productive, like cutting down the illegal NPA advertising clogging the city. |NY Post|

posterboy is a hack-moron and his "art" is lame and uneventful. the above photo shows nothing more than an immature attempt at public art and/or communication. even his "work" that seems to be anti-war themed is still shallow and meaningless. sure it's easy to say no to war and to take a stand as a forward thinking intellectual, but what else is he doing about it? (besides trying to bank off the little fame that he seems to be getting) in the end it's a selfish act. shame on anyone who covers this "artist" or his "work." plus his solo gallery show at eastern district last year was a disaster that ultimately proved that this person is extremely untalented at anything more than childish humor. peace.
Geirge has a very good point. BTW Geirge I'm a HUGE fan of your artwork… oh wait, that's right no one's every fucking heard of you, you fucking douchenut.
