50 Cent released his latest music video and it’s not only a promotion for his forthcoming album but for Philips-brand televisions too. Incorporating the electronics giant’s “Carousel†commercial, featuring a one-shot frozen motion clown robbery, the new video for “Ok, You’re Right†casts 50 Cent as the costumed criminal. The directors, Dan The Man and Chris “Broadway†Romero, explain, “We actually have a partnership with Phillips where they gave us the rights to take this commercial….It was kinda underexposed.†Though the original ad, directed by Adam Berg, did just win a Cannes Grand Prix award, that’s not going to sell as many TVs as one of the biggest names in rap.
