A new book on Obama art will be released by Abrams Books, encapsulating a range of imagery created in the last year in support of the president. Among the artists included in “Art for Obama” are David Choe, Ron English, HVW8 as well as the legally embattled “Hope” portrait painting artist himself, Shepard Fairey. A sampling of images from the book is below.

I am an artist from bussey iowa on december 30 2007 i was pleased to be asked to go backstage to meet Barak Obama before he spoke in knoxville iowa, It was also my birthday , he joked about his ears and spoke of his children. He signed the portrait of him that I had drawn. and gave it back to me. I thought it my make a good addition to your book because it is unpublished, sorry if I'm to late.
This website needs to be publicized more–the Republicans have their anti-Obama artwork out there propagandizing lies. We need to get strong work out there to show Americans that there are positive changes occurring.
