DSC_0047_oeuvre3Artist Prune Nourry continues provoking discussion on human reproduction, recently staging a dinner investigation of the “perfect child.” Known for her Domestic Babies, hairless silicon dog kids commenting on the “anthropomorphization of pets” and “the festishization of children,” Noury forced guests to practice a little prenatal manipulation for their meal.

With the assistance of six “nurses,” the diners, outfitted with hospital scrubs, made menu choices illuminating their preferences for a non-defective baby. Along with the dinner, Nourry unveiled an exhibition of her sculptures and light box displays that’s on view at Geneva’s Espace R.
