Artist Prune Nourry continues provoking discussion on human reproduction, recently staging a dinner investigation of the “perfect child.†Known for her Domestic Babies, hairless silicon dog kids commenting on the “anthropomorphization of pets†and “the festishization of children,†Noury forced guests to practice a little prenatal manipulation for their meal.
With the assistance of six “nurses,†the diners, outfitted with hospital scrubs, made menu choices illuminating their preferences for a non-defective baby. Along with the dinner, Nourry unveiled an exhibition of her sculptures and light box displays that’s on view at Geneva’s Espace R.
