Next week, trompe-l’œil street artist Dan Witz will open a solo show of his sad summer series, “Dark Doings.” Featuring sinister images of animals and people trapped behind closed doors, the fuax-window installations are the New York-based artist’s latest attempt “to make obvious in your face art that ninety-nine percent of the people who walk by won’t notice.” Befitting the artist’s wishes, the exhibition opens in pedestrian-unfriendly Los Angeles, from November 5 through December 3rd at Carmichael Gallery.
