The new Os Gêmeos mural isn’t even complete and someone has already tagged it. While it’s not clear how much damage was done or who did it, the directive is clear: “Blog about it,†exactly like we’re doing. The wall has a rich history of artists painting over another in recent years, although Keith Haring’s old associate, LA2, waited a couple months before embellishing his tribute. |ASF|

I think that is extremely disrespectful. I know artists paint over one another all the time (some even adding to the image), but to go and do that just goes to show that some people have no appreciation to street art. From people using paint guns to mess up Banksy murals to this, its all just the same as crossing it out with a giant X. Its rude, disrespectful and tasteless and honestly, if I saw who did that shit, they would catch a bad one in a heartbeat.
Graffiti Artists go over each other from time to time.. its called beef,
Why should a Mural done by graffiti/street Artists be any different?
Either way this is between Os Gêmeos and Adek.
SO please keep the "thats so rude" comments to yourself.
It's different because this isn't graffiti, it's a mural. People wouldn't say things if it was just someone tagging on top of where someone else tagged. And it's not like this graffiti added to the mural, it ruined it. And someone did it to get attention in the most disrespectful way. So it is rude.
Someone put time and effort into making this mural and then someone came in ruined it in less time it took to paint it.
So stick that in your juice box and suck it.
that ADEK tag was there BEFORE the wall got defaced.
i've been photo documenting it.
let not go start rumors now………………..
Particularly offensive considering this mural was an RIP dedicated to SACER IRAK…
These vandals are cowards, they didn't even have the stones to put up their tag and take ownership of the beef. Weak!
Are you retarded? Adek is in IRAK, And Irak and Os Gêmeos have had beef for a while now…
And of course it was disrespectfull!!!, that was the whole point!
This is definitely something worth getting upset over. I, for one, plan to lose a lot of sleep over it.
Whole lot of misinformation going on here… That Adek tag went up several nights before some toy scribbled on the mural. There's never been beef between Os Gemeos and Adek or Os Gemeos and IRAK. Matter of fact Os Gemeos and myself (as well as Reas) were with Dash a week before he passed (RIP) discussing the plans for that wall amongst other things. Both Os Gemeos and myself have been friends with Dash for many years before IRAK was even founded so to say Dash would have anything but love for them just shows how little some of you know either party. Snotty stopped by the wall to hang out and sign some blackbooks one of the nights before it got wrapped up. Matter of fact Espo and KR stopped by to pay respects as well. You misinformed people seem to also be overlooking some other obvious evidence of a lack of hostilites such as the fact that both Snotty (IRAK Pres) and Os Gemeos are both blogging off the same tightknit network on 12ozprophet.com. For fucks sake, Kunle even twittered a few times about love for the wall and Os Gemeos.
Though none of this really concerns anybody else, at least get your facts straight if your going to relay other peoples business.
As an aside to all this, the day after the Adek tag went up, Os Gemeos and I spent a good bit of that next morning discussing how we all thought Adek was pretty near the top of the style heap out of the kids still getting up around town.
I and my gang spray paint the shirts of taggers when we see them. Hey, those shirts are out there in public, and private property doesn't really exist anyway, so they never complain.
Why don't these artists just do it legally, and work in coexistence?
I ran into this page on incident, astonishingly, this is usually a amazing internet site. You might have carried out a exceptional work of putting it with each other, the info here is truly insightful. Now i’m about to bookmark this online site to ensure that I can revisit within the long term.
