The Brooklyn Banks, the famed Manhattan skate park below the Brooklyn Bridge, is being shut down. Immortalized as a practice spot for toys, the park will become “a staging area during the Brooklyn Bridge reconstruction†and reopen in 2014, according to the Downtown Express. Skaters, BMX riders and fixed gear freestylers: enjoy it while you can.
