A legal graffiti experiment went horribly wrong in Calgary. Planned to last three months, a sanctioned spray-painting area on a local park building barely survived the weekend. “Mayhem ensued†as aspiring aerosol artists got to work outside the “legal painting zone,” covering the entire building inside and out with “tags, profanity and homophobic and anti-police statements.†Cleaning up the “barrage of visual diarrhea” will apparently cost thousands, making it unlikely Calgary’s pilot program will be extended as planned. |CBC|
