Weeks after the iconic DKNY ad at Broadway and Houston Street was covered in a dung-like shade of brown, the corner’s transformation is complete. In a matter of hours today, painters finished off the wall with the logo for the Ohio-based surf clothing company Hollister, ready for their store opening in July.

stupid…fake surfing aesthetic from Ohio which claims california…Garbage! I wonder if the management can honstly have pride in this moronic marketing…
JESUSS….
Right? What in the hell? Why put California underneath your logo if you aren't from California? Not that I've ever been into a Hollister, but I've seen enough people wearing it.
O H I O
it is funny that the west coast's fashion is based on something created in the midwest. although the designers of the A&F brand are frm all over, it is kind of ironic. and now to bring this lifestyle brand into the nyc is sad. sorrryyy
The EPIC Hollister store in SOHO does seem out of place, but knowing the A&F way of doing things, its going to actually be pretty cool, though a bit pushed. At least they're opening up something in this day and age. How many other brands have invaded NY? All advertising and branding is fake, from cheese to clothing. Open your eyes NY! Its the world we live in.
In the words of baudrillard, California no longer exists
a&f: urgh
hollister: urgh

at least the material quality isnt on the same level
