An infamous Australian graffiti writer has dodged prison time for 37 counts of vandalism by going to work for the police. Noted as “one of the most significant … graffiti artist[s] that’s been brought before the courts in many years,” 23-year-old Russell Orrie Fenn aka SOFLES plead guilty and received a suspended six year prison sentence. In exchange for his freedom, the Brisbane panter, who has apparently become “a successful legitimate artist,†must pay $14k in fines and continue community service such as working with the city’s graffiti task force to help them think like young vandals and “encourage them to take up legal forms of expression.†|The Courier-Mail|

who is russell to say , dog or not that doesnt permit him to share our culture with those who seek to minimise it. knowledge is power and the police dont get dumber from such acts of kindness. art is in the eyes of the viewer and so is destruction. the guy had benn painting since 2000 heresearches off google hes hardly the enquisitive artist. his murals are just recycled contemporary art with a spray can. he needs to go to the library and also wipe that shit eating grin off his face.
