The Kent Avenue bike lane battle between cyclists and the Hasidic community endures. After promising to use school buses to illegally block traffic for motorists and cyclists alike, activists posted a faux detour sign, urging drivers to use Whythe Avenue as an alternate route as they continue their unlawful campaign. Although the sign, which was briefly taken down the other day and subsequently resurrected, was posted on private property, the DOT isn’t keen on pissed off business owners with an agenda providing the public with unsanctioned detour routes. Whythe Ave. residents likely feel the same way.
