Banksy continues baffling graffiti buffers across Britain, leaving them unsure whether to clean up or protect his artistic vandalism. After Bristol announced plans to let residents pick illegal pieces to preserve, inspired by his museum exhibition, Sutton Council in London is opening the “art or graffiti†debate over the millionaire street artist’s recent IKEA painting.
While the council claims they “don’t tolerate graffiti in Sutton,†they’re making an exception and “keeping an open mind†about Banksy’s illicit art, at least until enough people tell them what to do with it.
