After yesterday’s gruesome photo of gored bullfighter Israel Lancho, here’s equally grisly video of the fatally attacked bull shaking the matador around with its horns. Lancho was rushed off for emergency surgery on the 10-inch gash ripped in his abdomen and is in very serious condition in the hospital. The bull, who received no medical attention, collapsed and died following its last ditch act of karma. |The Sun|

I moved to Barcelona from NYC, and at least here in Catalunya they're working to outlaw this ghastly pastime. The main Bullfighting ring in Plaça Catalunya was about half way converted into a shopping mall (alas only a slight improvement) before the econopoclypse began and the other at Monumental will likely be shut down.
Watching this horror, and imagining Palin offing wolves from a helicopter, makes me want to specially train some Chimps, arm them with uzi's and set them loose.
The guy got what he deserved. You can see that poor animal's stomach heaving in pain as it faced off on him. What a grotesque, pathetic pasttime. And the poor animal (of course.) received no medical care. How much longer must we wait before the human race evolves beyond torturing animals in this way….?
That was horrible. Bullfighting is cruel and deadly and I think it should become a thing of the past. However, I do hope the man survives (and maybe persues a more humane career as well).
The guy has already stated he is going back to bullfighting if he survives. To be honest, I don't know that I'm too keen on him getting another shot.

What a shame the bull did not survive.It's about time animals had their revenge on such barbarianism.Its a very horrible world we live in when this kind of cruelty and savagery is tolerated and condoned and thought of as entertainment.The people who clap and cheer are just as bad as the bullfighter. Bullfighting should be banned just as dog fighting and cock fighting have been. There is no bravery or heroism where a grown man torments an animal to become frenzied with pain, then kills it for fun. That is not sport, it is not entertaining ,it is not civilized and it is not humane. It makes me ashamed to be part of the human race .

The Spanish inquisition was about forcibley converting or killing jews, its not the Spanish who are barbaric, but human beings, look at Hitler, and bulls do sometimes retire because they have won.

This man or whatever you want to call him participates in the "sport"of killing live things. I really wanted to see the bull run around with him a little more maybe that would give him a sense of how much pain he is inflicting upon the animal by using swords on him, while the bull lives his final moments in pain and torture. I hate bullfighting I can't believe it's still allowed in a civilized country. I would have been happier if the bull would also have taken out a couple of other matadores in its final moments. I would not have rushed in to help a man like Israel Lancho but would have the bull to finish his fight.
I believe spanish Matadores are a bunch of as**oles that enjoy what they do, so let them get what they deserve. and by letting the bull finish his fight I meant letting the bull finish him off.
What's the difference if you slaughter the animal for hamburgers or kill it this way. Once your dead you don't remember anything anyways. None of you care about the teenage girls abused in factories making your shoes & clothes so why be hippocrates? You cut off cat's and dogs balls and spay the females, you make them live inside your tiny apartments and declaw them all for your comfort and pleasure. You rail against female genital mutilation in middle eastern countries yet don't batt an eyelash that mothers all over the globe insist upon cutting off their sons foreskin ( where most of the nerve endings resided ) because they like the look better. In the entire animal kingdom only the human animal ( females mostly in this case ) are percentage wise guilty of Infanticide ( killing their own babies ) by a margin of 3 times greater than any other species. And by your comments about how ' he got what he deserved ' and 'arming chimps with guns ' I can tell none of you are any better. We are just the naked ape. We live a short time then – oblivion. Everything else is fantasy inside your brain. Your all two faced fakes. But your time is coming soon enough and then it's blackout – no heaven no hell just full stop. Past cultures did all sorts of what you call barbaric things yet they had way, way lower murder rates and treated each other better in many ways than we do today. So go blow it out your butts.
