Mayor Bloomberg Can’t Say ‘No’ to Fourth Term

bloombergMayor Bloomberg hasn’t even won his third term but he’s still leaving the door open for more. Asked whether he would rule out a fourth run, Bloomberg said the law doesn’t allow it. A reporter pointed out that the law didn’t always allow three terms, to which he responded: “But it does now. It permits only three terms, so I don’t know. Talk to your City Council. Let me point out that I had no intention of running for a (third) term up until near the end, as you know. The City Council changed the law. It’s up to the voters whether they want four more years.” |NYDN|
